Step 1:Warm up

1. Have a free talk to revise the last lesson.eg

T:How many desks are there in the classroom?

S1:34.

T:How many windows are there in the classroom?

S2:6.

2.Teacher will show the pictures of these learned family members :father, mother, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather and askWho is she/he?

Step 2: Presentation

1.T shows a picture and say“This is my family. Meet my family! ”and put it up on the family tree and teach it in different ways.

2.T:I have a big family. How many people are there in my family?

Ss: Five.

T:How many people are there in your family?

Ss:Six. 

Teacher introduce her family members.

T: This is my mother. This is my father. They are my parents and teach the word parents and put it on the family tree.Pay attention to the differences of parents and parent.

3.Teach points the picture and say“This is my uncle. This is my aunt.”and put them on the family tree and say“My uncle is my father’s or my mother’s brother. My aunt is my father’s or my mother’s sister.”

5.Show the picture of this lesson and say“This is Amy’s family. How many people are there in Amy’s family? Who are they?”Teacher shows the pictures of Amy’s family one by one and understand baby brother。

6.Role play“This is my…”. He’s /She’s....

7.Play the video of Let’s learn and let students learn the right pronunciation and intonation.

Step 3:Consolidation and extension

1.Finish the part of Let’s play.Let students introduce their family members in a group. egThis is my uncle. He’s tall and strong.

2.Practice the new words in different ways.

Step 4: Homework

Introduce your family members to your friends or parents.
